Dave Suer is an incredible individual. He has been a huge asset to the sport of Broomball in Saskatchewan. He has been part of many successful teams and has assisted developing some of Saskatchewan’s best Broomball players. Dave started his coaching career in the fall of 1980 with the Best Western Kings from Saskatoon.
He guided the Kings to Nationals in his first year of coaching in 1981 at Val Dor Quebec.
In the fall of 1982 Best Western Kings changed their name to Dog 'N' Suds Kings and coached by Dave. The Kings played at Nationals in 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985 where they won a silver medal at Leduc Alberta. In 1987 the Kings changed their name to Precision Auto Body Kings and still coached by Dave. The Kings made it to Nationals in 1987, 1988 and 1989; they won the bronze medal in 1988 at Yellowknife N.W.T.
Dave then started playing senior broomball in 1991 until 1999, the first 4 years with Precision Auto Body Kings and the last 5 years with the Bruno Axemen.
In the fall of 2003 Dave started coaching again helping Ray Bender coach the Bruno Axemen. Dave helped coach the Bruno Axemen until 2014.
In that 12 year span the Bruno Axemen made it to Nationals 9 times, winning 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
In total Dave coached at 17 Nationals winning 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. In the spring of 2014 Dave retired from Broomball.
I feel that Dave is very deserving of this award and would appreciate you considering him for this high honor.
